Nicole Rodin

Nicole Rodin is a mezzo-soprano from Chicago, Illinois who is currently pursuing her Masters of Music at the New England Conservatory in Boston. In 2007, Nicole graduated from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music with a BA in music. At Rice, Nicole studied with Susan Lorette Dunn and performed the roles of The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, Arlene in Baby, and Flora in The Turn of the Screw. In 2008, Nicole attended the Janiec Opera Company where she performed the role of the Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte and covered the role of Meg in Little Women by Mark Adamo. This summer, she will return to the Janiec Opera Company to perform the role of Nicklausse in Les Contes d'Hoffmann

As a first year Masters student at the New England Conservatory, Nicole played the role of Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro and, in February, will play Dinah in Leonard Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti. Nicole was also asked to participate in the New England Conservatory's Liederabend Recital Series as well as a Contemporary Music Ensemble recital which will take place in Jordan Hall in March. Nicole is a student of Lorraine Nubar.
