Tyler Putnam Bass Tyler Putnam graduated from Dartmouth College in 2009 with a Bachelors of Arts cum laude in music and theater. There he studied extensively with Louis Burkot, artistic director of Opera North in Lebanon, NH, and he participated in scenes programs with that company. At Dartmouth, Mr. Putnam sang the role of the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance and he performed several solos in orchestral works with the Dartmouth Glee Glub and Dartmouth Handel Society including the role of Harapha in Handel's Samson. Mr. Putnam also won the New Hampshire N.A.T.S. competition two consecutive years. The majority of Mr. Putnam’s experience, however, is in the musical theatre, where most recently he performed the leading role of Mack the Knife in the Princeton Festival’s production of The Threepenny Opera. At the Barn Playhouse in New London, NH, Mr. Putnam performed the roles of Kodaly in She Loves Me, Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes, and Franz Liebkind in Mel Brooks’ The Producers. At Dartmouth, he portrayed Officer Lockstock in Urinetown, Terry Connor in Side Show, and Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors. Mr. Putnam has yet to perform an entire role in an opera. He currently studies voice with Randolph Mickelson in New York City.
