Chase Taylor

Called a “vocal phenomenon,” American tenor Chase Taylor is known for his virile stage presence, artistic sensitivity, and stentorian high notes.


Chase Taylor received his Bachelors of Music from the University of North Carolina School for the Arts, with additional studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and Mannes College in Manhattan. His most recent appearances include concerts with IVAI- Blacksburg; Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Jaffa Music Center/IVAI under Maestro Paul Nadler in Tel Aviv, Israel; Giles Corey in The Crucible with Mannes Opera; and Master classes with Marcello Giordani and Warren Jones. Upcoming appearances include the Messenger (cover) in Aida, and the Leader (cover) in Weill's Lost in the Stars, both with Glimmerglass Opera in the summer of 2012. He is presently performing with the Lyric Opera of Chicago in their production of Show Boat, as well as Regional Finalist in the 2012 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
