Robin Thompson

2001 Preliminary Judge

Since 1996, Robin Thompson has worked as the Director of Artistic Administration for Paul Kellogg at the New York City Opera in Lincoln Center. He is in charge of season planning and casting. For the seven seasons prior to coming to NYCO, he was the Artistic Administrator for Peter Hemmings at the Los Angeles Music Center Opera. He has also worked extensively as a stage director mounting productions for the San Francisco Opera, L'Opera de Montreal, the Santa Fe Opera and the New York City Opera. He is a graduate of Indiana University and the recipient of grants from the National Opera institute and the James B. Pendleton Foundation of Los Angeles.
