Judge
Felicity Jackson began her career in 1979 at the Glyndebourne Festival
after gaining degrees from Cambridge and Exeter Universities and studying
voice at the Guildhall School of Music. Her posts have included Head of
Artistic Planning at the Opéra National in Brussels, Casting Manager
of the Glyndebourne Festival, Director of Artistic Administration at the
Canadian Opera Company and Glimmerglass Opera and General Manager of the
European Union Opera, a company providing training and performance opportunities
for young European singers. Ms. Jackson has been Casting Consultant to
major European and North American opera companies, including Oper Leipzig,
Netherlands Opera, Pisa Opera, Canadian Opera Company and Florida Grand
Opera and has managed artistic projects for the British Broadcasting Company,
the Edinburgh Festival, the Sommerakademie Gütersloh, Montepulciano
Cantiere Internationale d'Arte, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Chicago
Opera Theater. She has adjudicated major vocal competitions in England,
Belgium, Germany, Canada, and the US, and is much in demand as a conference
speaker and panelist, and as a contributor to publications on singer training.
