Felicity Jackson

2000 Semi-Finals Judge

 

Felicity Jackson has adjudicated major competitions in England, Belgium, Canada, and the US and is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Rosa Ponselle Foundation. After gaining degrees from Cambridge and Exeter Universities, and studying voice at the Guildhall School of Music, she began her career in arts administration at the Glyndebourne Festival. Her posts have included Head of Artistic Planning at the Opéra National in Brussels, Casting Manager of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Artistic Administrator of the Canadian Opera Company and Casting Consultant to the Leipzig Opera, Netherlands Opera, and Pisa Opera. She has managed projects for the Edinburgh International Festival, the BBC, the Sommerakademie Guetersloh and the Cantiere Internationale d'Arte, Montepulciano.

 

From 1994, Felicity was Director of Artistic Administration at Glimmerglass Opera in New York State. She returned to the UK in 1997 to manage the newly-established European Union Opera, a company providing training and performance opportunities for young European singers. She is currently a freelance casting consultant.
