Evan Rainey Bennett is currently completing his Masters of Music
Degree at Yale University where he is in the studio of Richard Cross.
Recent performances include Figaro in Mozart's Le Nozze Di Figaro
and
his debut with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis in their Gerdine Young
Artist Program as the 2nd Monk in Thais. Other roles include John
Proctor in The Crucible, Grandpa in The Tender Land and
Henri
Doubignon in the world premiere of Zabette. Upcoming performances
include Gianni Schicchi in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi with Yale
Opera
and a return to the Gerdine Young Artist Program to cover Geronimo in
The Secret Marriage. Evan is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where
he studied with W. Dwight Coleman. He was a national semi-finalist in
the MacAllister Awards as well as the receipient of other awards and
honors.
