Wendy Bryn Harmer

Wendy Bryn Harmer, soprano, received her Bachelor's degree from The Boston Conservatory in 2003. While a student at The Conservatory, Ms. Harmer performed many roles in the opera studio, including, "Orpheus" in Orpheus and Euridice, "Ramiro" in La Finta Giardiniera and "Volupia" in L'Egisto.

Ms. Harmer was a 2003 Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theater of St Louis, where she was seen in Tosca, Thais and Abduction from the Seralio.

She was also invited to sing in a master class with Jerry Hadley while in St Louis. She returned to Santa Barbara, CA. for her second summer at Music Academy of the West, where she was a student of Marilyn Horne. In September, Ms. Harmer was one of five Americans chosen to study with Marilyn Horne at The Academy of Music in Villecroze, France.

This year, Ms. Harmer made her Boston Lyric Opera debut as Giovanna in Rigoletto. She will join BLO again this season in performances of Tosca and Cosi fan tutte

Upcoming concert engagements include the Faure Requiem with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and The Jeremiah Symphony with The Boston Conservatory Orchestra.

Ms. Harmer is the recipient of a Merit Award from The Marilyn Horne Foundation and has been nominated for a Richard Tucker Award.
