Haggar Leibovich
Soprano
New England Finalist, 2006
Israeli soprano Haggar Leibovich graduated from The Tel-Aviv Rubin Music Academy in 2002. The following year she started attending Indiana University School of Music where she received her Masters in Vocal performance with Distinguished Professor Virginia Zeani and then with Professor Andreas Poulimenos. Haggar has performed many operatic roles such as: Queen of the night (Die Zauberflöte), Gretel (Hansel & Gretel), Neomi (The Inn of Spirits (World Premiere)), Ilia (Idomeneo), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) and Lucy (The Telephone). Last summer she participated in the Utah Festival Opera where she studied the role of Abigail Williams (The Crucible).
Her up coming engagements include Musetta (La Bohème), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Shopie (Werther) and Rosina (The Barber of Seville). This is Haggar’s first Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions and she is very excited to be here.
