Leticia Brewer

Soprano Leticia Brewer is a member of Atelier Lyrique at L'Opéra de Montreal. Recent operatic appearances include 2nd Lady in the Magic Flute (Banff Center for the Arts), Polissena in Radamisto (Opera McGill), Marguerite in Louis Riel (Opera McGill), Soleà in El Gato Montés (Toronto 's Opera in Concert), Elettra in Idomeneo (Opera McGill) and Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos (Summer Opera Lyric Theatre). Oratorio performances include the soprano soloist in the Dvorak Requiem, Das Klagende Lied and the Brahms’ Requiem (McGill Symphony Orchestra). In concert, Ms. Brewer has performed Mimi in excerpts from La Bohème with the National Arts Center Orchestra. As a recitalist, she has been featured at the Music Academy of the West and Montréal's Lakeshore Chamber Music Society. Ms. Brewer is a 2006 Jeunes Ambassadeurs laureate and has been the recipient of grants from the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation and the Canada Council for the Arts. This season, Ms. Brewer will perform Liu in the Vienna Volksoper's production of Turandot as well as Miss Benson in L'Opéra de Montréal's production of Lakmé.
